Farmhands

Activities

Farmhands is a Farm to School program at Agritopia Farm in Gilbert Arizona. We provide a variety of hands-on experiences for students to learn about growing food and where food comes from! In a 2-3 hour visit to the farm, we study planting methods and schedules, and see the vegetables growing in the field. We celebrate the beauty of the farm through artistic expression. And best of all, we enjoy the delicious farm food that we prepare together!

Our goal is to inspire kids and their families to desire locally grown food, either from their own backyards, or from an urban farm like Agritopia. We have separate programs for different ages and grades, and include a variety of school venues; public, private, charter, homeschools are all invited to participate in Farmhands at Agritopia Farm!

Cost: $5.00 per learner
