Preserving Urban Agriculture

Every hour 175 acres of agricultural land is lost to development - that’s roughly 3 acres per minute. Arizona Urban Agriculture Foundation focused on preserving urban farming in Arizona and inspiring the next generation of farmers.

Farmland is an integral part of our food system, and it is vanishing.

The foundation collaborates with developers to encourage opportunities to preserve land in Arizona for use as urban farms to perpetuate and secure land for a continued food source for all of Arizona.

Farm Hands

The Foundation provides education through a farm to school program, Farm Hands, that aims to teach youth about the food system within their own community. The goal is to inspire future farmers with a focus on health and the importance of a strong local food system.

Cultivating A

At the Arizona Urban Agriculture Foundation, we firmly believe in the power of community and the incredible impact we can achieve when we support one another. Our mission to cultivate sustainable urban agriculture and foster a resilient food system relies on the collective effort of like-minded individuals like you.
