Most families today are 5–6 generations removed from farming, and with the average U.S. farmer now over 58 years old, critical food knowledge is disappearing. The Arizona Urban Agriculture Foundation works to change that by educating communities on the importance of urban agriculture and showing what’s possible when landowners choose to preserve farmland rather than sell to developers.
